About Teahen Tales

Welcome to Teahen Tales

Sometimes, the soup really is that good (at Long Dog Winery, Prince Edward County, Ontario).

I’m a communications pro who celebrated Canada’s 150th birthday by gathering 150 images and stories that, together, define Canada for me. They were posted daily from Feb. 1 to July 1, 2017. I’m honoured that Cision Canada chose my project as one of “Seven Canada 150 projects and influencers you should follow on Twitter.”

I enjoy creating meals almost as much as creating stories so, since the Canada 150 project has wound down, you’ll find more musings here on food and how it nourishes us, in many ways. The photo here? One of the best soups I have ever eaten, at Long Dog Winery in Prince Edward County, Ontario, on a tour led by Billy Munnelly.

Finally, Teahen Tales also shares stories of art that has moved me, amused me or provoked me. For art feeds the soul as much as food feeds the body.

This is my happy place. Hope it may become a happy place for you, too.
